President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum’s convoy involved in traffic accident, one person dies

A 94-year-old woman died this Friday after an accident between a vehicle from the convoy that was accompanying Claudia Sheinbaum and another car in the State of Coahuila, according to the mayor of Monclova, where the accident occurred.

A van in which Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum’s advance party was traveling had a traffic accident in Monclova Coahuila, resulting in several people injured.

Upon being informed of the accident, she stopped to check on the condition of the people, who were already being treated by municipal and state emergency teams.

In a statement, President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum declared: “We deeply regret that one person died in the other vehicle”.
