An armed man shot at civilians and police officers in the San Antonio neighborhood, he was arrested after crashing his vehicle against a patrol car.

The aggressor was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office D and will have to answer for the crime of attempted homicide against the San Miguel police.

Residents of the San Antonio neighborhood were attacked by a subject with a firearm. When the police arrived, they were also attacked by the subject and, when trying to flee, he crashed into a patrol car, ending up injured and arrested by the officers.

The events occurred on Friday, February 7th, around 11 pm on Brisas Street in the San Antonio neighborhood, where gunshots were heard in the area, indicating that a subject (apparently drugged) shot at other people without injuring them, so residents of the area called the 911 Emergency Center.

Immediately, the C4 Operations Center sent Municipal Police officers to the site and confirmed the presence of armed men. Once there, police officers detected two subjects with short pistols, who tried to escape and fired directly at the municipal police officers.

Fortunately, none of the officers were injured, and one of the attackers, who got on a motorcycle in his escape, collided with the police officers’ unit, so he was detained there and suffered a fractured leg as a result of the impact.

The State Public Security Forces arrived at the scene, in addition to the National Guard, who helped protect the area, while the Criminal Investigation Agents of the Prosecutor’s Office carried out the corresponding investigation and seized the motorcycle on which the attacker tried to escape.
