Over a year ago the state goverment announced that the governor’s airplane would be sold in an auction.

Governor Miguel Márquez Márquez said the decision was finally made.

“The auction wasn’t done before due to mechanical problems with the aircraft” he said in an interview for Am News, Monday June 6th.

The plane model is a Cessna Citation 500, registration XC GTO that costed 1.3 million USD 36 years ago.

The plane accomodates 6 passengers and two pilots, it was acquired in 1980, and it is for sale through national public auction, in which any interested party may participate.

“The plane is in good conditions, maybe it’s not brand new but it is very well maintained ” The Governor said.
