On Friday July 22, the Attorney of Justice of Celaya’s region, Rene Urrutia de La Vega reported that the 22- year-old woman from Rusia, Regina Popova, who had been reported missing since Wednesday July 20, was located in a local hospital in Celaya where she attended for treatment on a wound in her hand.
Mexio City newspaper Excelsior detailed the Russian woman signed an appearance filed, which she stated her desire not to file any complaints or press any charges against anyone for her wounds or her “disappearance” neither.

Authorities explained that after the report of Popova’s disappearance in “La comunidad de los Huesos“, an investigation began which revealed that the foreign woman has lived in a private house in Celaya and she left her home on the afternoon of July 20, after having a discussion with her partner Alejandro López.
Urrutia concluded: “The woman was located in the company of a man, who apparently is her boyfriend and acted as an interpreter for Popova, he confirmed the Russian young woman is not at risk or in jeopardy of any kind “.
