According to Hector Ortiz, representative of the Guanajuato State government in Mexico City (CDMX), declared that two Guanajuatans are missing and unfortunately one is being reported dead, after the earthquake in the nation’s capital.
One of them, Emmanuel Navarro, was trapped inside a building located on Avenida Alvaro Obregón # 286, where rescue teams have been working for the last two days, however, he has not been found yet.
Hiram Esau Navarro, Emmanuel’s brother stated through a video posted on Facebook that, according to the information provided by the rescuers, his brother is still alive and is conscious, in the area of the stairs, between the the second and third floors of the collapsed property.
However, he points out that the rescue actions for his rescue have been complicated due to the fact of the structure’s vulnerabilty. According to Navarro other people are still trapped in there too, although he could not provide an exact number,

There is absolutely no information on the whereabouts of the second Guanajuato citizen, Angel Balandrán Padilla, and his location remains unknown.
Meanwhile, Marimar Álvarez, a native of Celaya, was officially reported as deceased during the earthquakes.
Guanajuato state government representative Hector Ortiz, said that he was in contact with her family in order to provide the necessary support in the transfer of the body and other legal proceedings.
