Mexico (Notimex) .- Google presented the 15 finalists of the first Google Play Indie Games Festival in Latin America (guess what… one of the projects is from Mexico!).

The Google Play Indie Games Festival is an event that recognizes the best independent game developers in the region.

The technology company explained that the tournament was inaugurated last November, with the aim of identifying, highlighting and rewarding emerging talent in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Among the finalist games are PepeLine Adventures (Mexico), Floyd’s Sticker Squad (Argentina), Shake Ninja (Brazil), Lines-Physics Drawing Puzzle (Chile) and Ekko: Occlude the void (Colombia), among others.

In an official announcement, the administrator of strategic alliances of Google Play in Latin America, Daniel Trócoli, said that they were “very impressed by the innovation and creativity that independent developers in the region have to shown.”

The American company added that the final event will take place at Campus Google Sao Paulo, Brazil, where only three winners will make it to Grand Finale.
