In two isolated events, two men were found dead on Monday March 19 in the muncipality of San Miguel de Allende. According to municipal authorities, both died after participating in fights.
A dead body was located on Ignacio Allende street in the Boca de la Cañada community. Members of the Criminal Investigation Agency arrived on site to initiate the investigations.
When processing the crime scene agents detected a stab wound on the chest, apparently produced by a knife, however the necropsy of law was performed to officially determine the cause of death.
According to information from the municipal government, witnesses reported that the man was consuming alcoholic beverages with other unidentified individuals, when suddenly a fight started and that was the outcome.
The second case was reported about 30 minutes later in the Cerrado area of the Pantoja community, near the railroad tracks, where 18-year-old Juan Gustavo ‘N’ was found also with a stab wound on the chest.
Although the first report pointed to a wound with a knife, the public ministry did not confirm this information and announced that the type of wound and cause of death will be determined through the necropsy of law.
Municipal government’s information indicated that witnesses declared that perhaps it was a quarrel, saying that Juan Gustavo did not have a good relationship with his girlfriend’s family.
Both cases are being investigated by municipal authorities and no detentions have been made so far in relation to any of these two homicides.
