The sale of new housing in Guanajuato decreased 23.3%

The state of Guanajuato is included in the list of 22 other Mexican states that have sold less new housing during the first four months of the current year, according to the figures released by the National Housing Commission (Conavi).

According to statistics, sales of new homes in the state of Guanajuato decreased to 23.3 percent during the first four months of the current year when a grand total of 5,836 was sold, while in the same period last year 7 ,611 were sold statewide.

Other states that had strong falls in sales of new homes were Queretaro, Jalisco, Colima, San Luis Potosi, Sonora, Quintana Roo, Mexico City, Chihuahua and Nayarit.

The percentages ranged between 42% and 19% down, according to statistics shown by the National Housing Commission.

At a national level, the drop in the sale of new homes was 12.8% compared to the same period last year and only states such as Tlaxcala, Zacatecas and Oaxaca stood out in this category.
