In September, Casa Dragones Tequila celebrates in San Miguel de Allende, its spiritual home, the Independence of Mexico, one of the historical events of which it takes its main inspiration, participating for the sixth consecutive year in the Historical Cabalgata de los Conspiradores de Querétaro de 1810.
Monday, September 17, 2018 – On the occasion of the national holidays, Casa Dragones Tequila commemorates through various activities the historical value of its spiritual home: the magical town of San Miguel de Allende, designated in 2008 as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, and strategic site during the Mexican Independence movement, over 200 years ago.
San Miguel de Allende, in addition to accumulating hundreds of architectural and cultural attributes in each of its streets, is one of the places with more history in Mexico. Founded in the 16th century, this colonial city was one of the strategic sites during the Independence movement, housing buildings such as Casa Dragones, which is currently home to Tequila Casa Dragones and which once housed the elite squadron of Queen Elizabeth I, The Catholic: the legendary Dragons.
To honor the past of this venue, the tequila house celebrates the national holidays with various special activities, among which is its protagonist participation for the sixth time in the traditional Historical Parade of the Conspirators of Querétaro of 1810, which commemorates the history of the Insurrection of Independence. This historic event was led by heroes such as Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez, who gave the order to Ignacio Perez to ride to San Miguel el Grande and deliver a message to Juan Aldama, who, in turn, left for Dolores where Miguel Hidalgo and Ignacio Allende officially began with the Independence of Mexico movement.
At present, Casa Dragones Tequila honors these important events in the history of our country that took place on the morning of September 16, placing in each of their Casa Dragones Blanco bottles the number 16, the exterior number of the Casa Dragones in San Miguel de Allende, and tying by hand a black ribbon around the neck to the left side, just like the bow ties of the cavalry squadron, in the Casa Dragones Joven bottles.
Besides, the representative blue color of Tequila Casa Dragones is inspired by the same color of the military uniforms of this group.
During September, the best feelings of a nation like Mexico emerge and the history that saw our country born flourishes in the streets of cities such as San Miguel de Allende, which for the second year in a row is considered the Best City in the World by Travel + Leisure magazine, one of the most influential travel and luxury publications worldwide.
San Miguel is a place full of history, featuring colonial buildings such as Casa Dragones, home of one of the most important tequila houses in the country, which keeps not only the testimony of Independence on its walls, but also maintains the visionary feeling of Tequila Casa Dragones alive.
Tequila Casa Dragones remains authentic to the place that saw it born with its unique aroma, flavor and body .
