Mexico, Dec. 14 (Notimex).- The School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (ESIME, for its acronym in Spanish) Zacatenco campus, under the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN, for its acronym in Spanish), signed a letter of intent with the company NC-Tech, which highlights the next joint creation of a Training Center in Industry 4.0.
“This initiative comes up as part of the strategy of the IPN to link the institution with viable projects in the productive sector that have an impact on the country’s competitiveness”, the institution said in a statement.
The document signed by the director of the ESIME Zacatenco, Hugo Quintana Espinosa, and by the general director
of NC-Tech, Víctor Hugo Ávila, contemplates the training of professors and students in tools such as additive
manufacturing, modeling, simulation, augmented reality, 3D printing, internet of things and process virtualization,
among others.
“As the governing institution of science and technology, the consolidation of this center will allow us to continue
positioning ourselves at the forefront of our study and updating programs, always seeking the academic excellence of
our students,” said Quintana Espinosa.
He stressed that the signing of this letter guarantees the benefit of teachers and students to be able to be certified in
Solidwork programs (CSWA, CSWP and CSWE) and CATIA.
For his part, Víctor Hugo Ávila explained that the center will offer both students and enterprises access to CAM manufacturing services, PLM Platform, 3D Experience, patents, projects and other types of developments focused on the automotive industry.
