Embodiment is pleasurable. I don’t require discipline to dance or to practice yoga. I enjoy them.
Since I arrived in San Miguel de Allende a few weeks ago, I have been attending 1-2 salsa or bachata classes a day and practicing yoga less than usual. Following my rhythm feels so good.
There are times when I don’t enjoy dance or yoga, especially after I’ve neglected my body for a long while.
In those times, I try to keep things simple and just do a small amount. Usually once I get going, and I start to loosen up, I want to continue anyways.
Here is my first ever time lapse of this morning’s yoga practice. About halfway through I broke out into a dance party for a song that I just had to dance to! (min 3.46…quite funny to watch)
I hope this practice inspires you in your embodiment and movement.
I’d love to hear your comments!
And if you want a chance to enjoy yoga, dance and spend time simply feeling and enjoying your body, I am co-facilitating a 7 day retreat called ‘Embody’ this October 26-Nov 2nd with the beautiful Heather Riney.
It will be held at the luxurious Villa Milagro, in Troncones, Mexico.
Some highlights include:
-A simple cleanse for the first four days to help the body to release and reset.
– Daily yoga classes, salsa classes and BooTy empowerment dance/fitness.
– Being there for Day of The Dead and a Halloween Costume Salsa Dance Party.
