San Miguel de Allende.- The Government, Human Rights, and Public Safety Commission of the city council approved the regulations to establish the patronages or boards of the Benito Juárez and Zeferino Ortiz parks .
If approved in the plenary session of the council, the boards of trustees will be able to manage resources before the state, the federation, and other public organizations so that these spaces are sustainable and they can be permanently given adequate care and maintenance.
During the discussion of the regulation, in which citizens participated, it was clarified that the City Council will continue to be the highest authority that governs the parks, which until now are administered directly by the municipal government.
The officials clarified that local authorities will not cease to rule over these spaces, the difference is that now there will be citizen participation and the possibility of directly managing more resources before other instances.
The purpose of the regulation for the constitution and operation of the boards of the Juárez and Zeferino Gutiérrez parks is to regulate the operation of these spaces to safeguard their sustainability and provide areas worthy of healthy recreation in San Miguel.
This regulation describes that the boards are made up of members of civil society so that decision-making has greater citizen participation.
This regulation is issued based on the Municipal Organic Law for the state of Guanajuato and seeks to guarantee constant supervision of the provisions described, always in favor of the optimal development of citizens.
