The president considered that the international reaction against his judicial reform could respond to economic interests.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that the relationship with the United States and Canada would continue, even though he reiterated that he would pause the relationship with the ambassadors of those countries due to the criticism they made of his judicial reform.

“The relationship with the governments continues, with Canada and the United States,” said AMLO, while referring to the “pause” by saying that “it is only with the embassies, especially with the ambassador of Canada (Graeme Clark) and the United States (Ken Salazar), because it is not their place to give an opinion on matters that only concern Mexicans.”

In his morning press conference, the president considered that the international reaction against his judicial reform could respond to economic interests.

Before concluding his morning press conference, López Obrador said that President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum agrees with him that judicial reform must move forward and that it is false that there is an attempt to postpone the legislation of said amendment.
