San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, October 18, 2024.- The Guanajuato Health Secretariat, through Health Jurisdiction II, delivered 6 Silver Planet Youth 2024 Badges and a Gold recognition in San Miguel de Allende, at the CEDECOM auditorium facilities in the municipality.
The Planet Youth Badge aims to recognize spaces that promote preventive environments, through a network of adults committed to promoting protection factors, reducing risk factors, to creating a better future for girls, boys, and adolescents.
During the event, there was the presence of Dr. Jorge Vidargas Rojas, Head of Health Jurisdiction II; Dr. Héctor Adrián Barrientos Delgado, Municipal Director of CAISES SMA; Lic. José Antonio Torres Fiorentini, Representative of Education Region I Dolores Hidalgo; and Mtro. Christian Manuel Ortiz Muñiz, Secretary of Citizen Security of San Miguel de Allende, as well as representatives of the different spaces that are worthy of the insignia.
The institutions that today receive these recognitions are part of the business, educational, sports, and governmental sectors of the municipality, which are: Diego Rivera Kindergarten of the Guadalupe de Támbula community.
The Primary School Niños Héroes de Chapultepec, Telesecundaria No. 1039 (Guadalupe de Támbula Community), Wolf Gym San Miguel de Allende, Grupo Ferretero Don Pedro, Dräxlmeir Components Automotive De México S. DE R.L. DE C.V. and the Secretariat of Citizen Security of San Miguel de Allende.
It is worth mentioning that the Secretariat of Citizen Security recognizes the Gold Insignia and is distinguished for its admirable work within the municipality, to generate actions aimed at prevention within and outside its institution, not only with the citizens but also with its workers and families.
This is why it is so important to have appropriate community environments for the positive development of girls, boys, and adolescents, focusing on family and shared free time, to delay the start of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use for as long as possible and thereby effectively reducing long-term psychosocial risks.
Each Badge represents months of work, creativity, and above all commitment.
The event concludes by thanking them for their praiseworthy work, however, the work does not end here, as this is only an impetus for them to continue carrying out actions in favor of children, youth, and our San Miguel families, whose reflections permeate our society.
