Ignacio Alejandro Vila Chávez appointed as new federal prosecutor in the state of Guanajuato

The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) has appointed Ignacio Alejandro Vila Chávez as the new federal prosecutor in the state of Guanajuato.

The announcement was made by the Attorney General’s Office through an official statement.

According to the authority, Vila Chávez has a degree in law from the Universidad Panamericana, a master’s degree in criminal procedural law from the Centro de Estudios Universitarios campus Cuernavaca and a doctorate in procedural law from the Instituto Nacional de Estudios Fiscales of the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Chiapas.

The new federal prosecutor has extensive experience in the field of federal justice administration, with more than six years of experience.

Ignacio Alejandro Vila, replaces Gerardo Vázquez Alatriste who until a few days ago served as delegate of the FGR, and who now occupies the position as Prosecutor.

Throughout his professional career at the FGR, he has served as an agent of the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, substantive subdelegate and federal prosecutor in Chiapas.

In the common jurisdiction, he worked in the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Chiapas, in the prosecution of crimes under the Environmental Responsibility Law, the Population and Human Rights Law and Migration.

The appointment took place in the multipurpose room of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office based in León, Guanajuato.
