What was initially reported as a car accident turned out to be a crime scene as three men were shot to death while driving on the San Miguel de Allende-Guanajuato highway, at the entrance to the community of San Martín de Terreros.
Around 9 a.m. on Friday, February 14, emergency systems were informed that a car accident had occurred on the aforementioned highway, in which a red pick-up truck had overturned until it ended up in the undergrowth, off the road.
Emergency services and agents of the State Public Security Forces located the car in which three men were found who no longer had vital signs.
Upon inspecting the deceased, the authorities discovered that they had bullet impacts, while gunshot casings were found in the area. Demonstrating that they were attacked with firearms while driving on the highway, which led to the vehicle overturning.
The State Attorney General’s Office has begun investigations to determine the circumstances of the attack, although no arrests have been made in connection with this triple homicide.
