“Architectural Park. Incredible set of surrealist buildings”
Ranchito Cascabel Parque Arquitectónico, also known as Timmyland, is a surreal architectural park located near San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. Situated approximately 25 minutes from the city center, it lies between the magical town of Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel de Allende, offering a unique escape into a world of creativity and fantasy.
This extraordinary park was envisioned by Tim Sullivan, an artist inspired by the works of Antoni Gaudí and Javier Senosiain. Over two decades, Sullivan collaborated with architect Steve Kornher and designer Bob Hoss to create a space that blends organic forms, vibrant colors, and whimsical sculptures. The result is a labyrinth of surreal buildings, gardens, and sculptures, including snake-like figures and mythological creatures, making it a photographer’s dream.
Visitors can explore the park through guided tours, which last approximately two hours. Admission fees are $400 MXN for adults and $200 MXN for children under 13. For those interested in a more comprehensive experience, a cultural package is available for $650 MXN per adult and $200 MXN per child, which includes access to the adjacent Rancho Jaguar Popular Art Museum. This museum showcases a stunning collection of Mexican folk art, celebrating the country’s rich artisanal heritage.

Amenities at Ranchito Cascabel include beautifully landscaped gardens, shaded areas for relaxation, and a variety of photo-worthy spots. The park also offers unique experiences such as sunset tours with wine or mezcal tastings and tapas. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable clothing and sunscreen, as the area is sunny and involves walking.
Ranchito Cascabel is a must-visit destination for art and architecture enthusiasts, offering an unforgettable journey into a world where imagination knows no bounds. Reservations are required, ensuring a personalized and immersive experience.
