San Miguel de Allende.- A man who tried to sexually abuse a woman was caught by residents of the Don Diego community; they tied him up and handed him over to the police
The alleged perpetrator, identified as Simón “N”, broke into the victim’s home and tried to abuse the woman by threatening her with a knife. The next-door neighbors heard the screams and entered the house to help her.
After submitting the aggressor, they requested support from the municipal police. The residents of Don Diego beat him up and tied him to prevent him from escaping
The report was received at 5:00 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, municipal police officers detained Simón. When verifying their data they found that the alleged perpetrator, originally from Celaya, had a valid arrest warrant for the crime of rape.
In addition, they found out that he had served a sentence for murder and rape. The arrest warrant was in force because after serving his sentence, he again abused a woman.
The policemen transferred Simón to the municipal detention facility and placed him under the custody of the State Attorney General’s Office.
