Renovating works began at the “San Juan de Dios Market” in SMA
SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, Gto.- On Thursday December 8, reconstruction and renovation works began at the “San Juan de Dios” market in San Miguel de Allende. Therefore, municipal authorities started the improvement works of floor, roof and paint.
Francisco López, General Secretary of the Union of Merchants, declared: “We had been awaiting for this support for more than seven years now, but finally it has arrived”.

“We are also looking forward to include new indoor spaces for several merchants who come to San Miguel from distant communities, so they don’t have to place their stands outside the market,” said the head of the supply center, that shelters 94 commercial spaces.
After the ceremony, Mayor Ricardo Villarreal, walked across the aisles of Plaza San Miguel, where he talked with tenants and supervised the work is being done correctly.
