Mexico, Dec. 20 (Notimex).- On Thursday Dec. 20, American Airlines began daily flight operations between the Xoxocotlán International Airport in Oaxaca and the Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

“This new route reaffirms the commitment that the airline has with Mexico, our largest international destination, with service to 21 cities and more than one thousand colleagues based in this country,” said José María Giraldo, director of American Airlines in Mexico.

During the cutting of the ribbon ceremony, the airline executive added that Oaxaca has many tourist and cultural attractions, as well as its interesting cuisine and several traditional festivals, which makes it a very attractive destination for tourism in the United States.

In a statement, the airline said that this new service will be operated with an Embraer ERJ-75, with 12 seats in First
Class and 64 seats in the Economy Class.

“It should be noted that Mexico used to be the second international destination for American Airlines, a country where AA arrived in 1942, and today, more than 76 years later, our company serves many more destinations in Mexico than in any other nation outside the United States”, José María Giraldo concluded.
