President Andrés Manuel López Obrador declared that the theft of fuel also known as ‘huachicoleo‘ will become a serious crime, for which offenders will not have the right to bail, emphasizing that Guanajuato is one of the most affected states by this type of crime.
“We are aware that this week there were confrontations and homicides related to the theft of fuel. One of the most affected states was Guanajuato and this has to do with the Salamanca refinery, “said López Obrador.
In his well-known daily morning conference at the National Palace, the president of Mexico said that he and his cabinet are already working on a strategy to combat ‘huachicoleo‘.
“We are already working on a strategy. I hope that next week we can present a plan. I want all citizens to know what we are going to do, “said López Obrador.
On the other hand, López Obrador said that today Friday Dec. 7, he will visit the north of Nayarit to verify the current situation of the victims of hurricane ‘Willa’.
In this context, the Mexican president also stated that employment will be guaranteed to all young people in the country, because with the Jovenes Construyendo el Futuro (Young building the Future) program, “no young person will be left without work.”
