Four men and two women originally from Querétaro who were part of a criminal gang were caught by municipal police officers from San Miguel Allende when they stole items and cash from inside a house located in the Villa de Los Frailes subdivision.
It was minutes after 10:00 at night on Tuesday, August 24, when residents of the subdivision alerted the 911 emergency line that on Virreyes street the six suspects were removing items from a house and that, loading them to a motorcycle, a cargo van, and a car.
Moments later, the agents of the Municipal Police found two women and four men inside the house who had packed various objects in bags and backpacks without being able to prove their possession, nor their residence in the house.
In addition to the objects, the amount of 24 thousand pesos in cash that they had stolen from the property was found during the inspection.
When consulting his data in Plataforma México, it shows that two of those involved have a criminal record of aggravated extortion with a firearm and use of force to a business in Querétaro; co-participation in the theft of a vehicle, as well as several charges of robbery to businesses with attempted violence.
The six people were transferred to a preventive detention facility to be made available to the Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office;
