San Miguel de Allende.- With pride, passion and identity in San Miguel the memory and legacy of Don Ignacio de Allende y Unzaga was honored .
With several commemorative acts organized by the Municipal Administration , the birth of the Greatest Hero of Mexico and Favorite Son of Guanajuato , born 254 years ago in this municipality, was remembered.
Proud of the legacy that Allende y Unzaga inherited to the Mexicans, as well as the sense of roots that it has generated in each one of the people of San Miguel throughout history, the municipal president stressed that Mexico was born in San Miguel de Allende and it is a fact undeniable in the history of this nation.
As spokesperson for the people of San Miguel and of Mexicans in general, the president of San Miguel, Mauricio Trejo highlighted that the people of San Miguel is proud and passionate thanks to the legacy of Don Ignacio de Allende y Unzaga.
Proud of his legacy, San Miguel society exalts the memory of his Favorite Son: Don Ignacio de Allende y Unzaga, who as leader of the Insurgent Movement of 1810, forged the Free Mexico that daily inspires San Miguel de Allende to be better every day.
